Baby carrier for an 11 month old?

Hi,

What carrier would you recommend for an 11 month old baby?

I'm looking for an easily adjustable one as I'm 5"1 with a short body, partner is 6"1 and quite stocky! Looking to be able to use it for school runs (15min walk) and hopefully get confident enough to use on a day out. Baby is 10kg according to the bathroom scales. Only ever tried one (Manduca) with my middle girl before, she hated it so much I never tried one again.

Thanks!

I've used a beco Gemini since DD was a few months old. She's 9kgs at 10 months and it's still comfortable for us both. Lasts up to nearly 16kgs, looking at the weight chart if she grows at the rate she is now it should last us until she is at least 3.

Do you have a sling library near you? If you can get to one, you could try a few of and see what your DC prefers.

Also, are they walking yet? Once my DD was walking, she went right off the sling (she'd loved it previously) because she wanted to get up and down so regularly. I got a hip seat at that point and it was brilliant. (When she was 11m, just before lockdown, I used it while going round an exhibition at the Saatchi gallery. I ended up breast feeding her to sleep on it as we walked round.)

Thanks so much!

@ChaosMoon we don't unfortunately. She isn't walking yet but will bear this in mind!

I had this one too. Used it from about 8 weeks to 3.5 years with both DC. It's brilliant. Really easy to put on. DH and I both used it loads.

We had an ergobaby 360 that we used from birth up until around age 2. It was really comfy for both us and the DC and really easy to adjectives so both DH and I used it a lot.
