My 3 yr old and Asparagus...

My 3 year old will pretty much eat anything, except Broccoli (partner insists on calling it trees and laddo is pretty fond of of trees so it may be idiological ) and McDonalds chicken nuggets.

Anyway. It's British Asparagus season so I gave him some. Now he demands "green spears" morning noon and night.

I mean there are worse things in the world than this but my god, the woman in Aldi thinks I'm reselling it and the house stinks alternately of Asparagus and then asparagus pee.

So far we've had, asparagus grilles with Parma ham, Asparagus risottos, Asparagus in the side with roast lamb, Asparagus and poached eggs, asparagus dipped in boiled egg, asparagus soup, Asparagus in chicken pie, Asparagus poked through potato waffles and asparagus inside Sausage rolls, asparagus and black pudding and just plain asparagus. I'm running out of ideas!

Does anyone else have a toddler with an asparagus thing?

Mum serves this with loads of fresh bread (and much more bacon). I'm sure you could switch the wine for half the amount of stock.
It would probably also work as a pasta sauce if you chopped the asparagus more?

Mum cycles to the local asparagus farm - basically pick your own soft fruit farm for asparagus. If she cant be bothered to pick, she can buy bundles of wonky spears for much less than the supermarkets sell it. Worth a Google to see if there us something similar near you?

Make them into nests and put a boiled egg in the middle.

Asparagus stir fry.

I know I'm not helping but I really love it too.
