Last minute birthday plans

What would you do for a two year olds birthday -zoo day out or a small garden party with 5 other children ? Can’t decide and it’s only two weeks away. Wondered what everyone else did. Thanks

Out of those two, I’d do a zoo day.

Know thy child. My DD would love a zoo day. Some of the other babies from our NCT group would be totally overwhelmed. What would your DC like best?

He loves animals so wouldn’t be overwhelmed, would also love a little party I think but then they only last a couple of hours don’t they! I’m thinking zoo from these replies now thank you.

Farms are good too they can get closer to the animals and often there is a petting area, DD loved pony rides at 2

We took DD to the zoo for her 2nd birthday. She loved it. Particularly the pigeons. You know, the bog standard ones which you get in every garden & street in the UK.
The core of our NCT group still met up on a weekly basis then so we got ourselves organised and each baby got a different week's meet up allocated as it's "party" where we just had our usual get together, took a cake and sang happy birthday. The first one in the group tried pass the parcel but that ended with just about all of the children in tears so none of the rest of us bothered!

I'd go for garden party.

I don't think 2 year olds really 'get' zoos. The farm would be more fun because they can pet/feed the animals. Looking at loads of animals through glass isn't really that different from the TV when you're 2!
