Single parent feeling a little lonely at times

Been single around 7months and the majority of the time I'm kept busy with DD and PhD and various part time jobs. But theres times when i don't want to constantly work. Got lots friends but not a lot are available at weekend when DD goes with her dad. Feeling really disconnected from everybody at the moment.

What do you all do when you've got some free time?

Cleaning and the gym mainly!

I can understand how you feel lonely though. Im not a single parent but my pther half works away a lot.

I’m an introvert and would love some me time. I’m a single parent but by choice. Doesn’t mean I don’t understand you though, I always think people aren’t available at weekends as they are doing family things so never think to ask. Have you any non-parent friends?

@Jojo19834 I'm an introvert too and normally i love my free time and feel like i cant go enough of it! But these last couple of weeks have started to notice a little bit of lonliness. I have a few non-parent friends i just find it hard to connect with people these days.

I don’t get any free time sadly as my kids don’t see their dad 😑

@CandyFIosss Sorry to hear that. Do you have any family/friends who can help out every now and again so you can have that break?
