Hello,
My newborn is 12 days old. I'm finding him very different to my eldest son as a new born.
I can't seem to settle him well at all. He won't sleep in his next to me crib which my eldest did on his first night. He doesn't like laying on his back. He seems to have a lot of wind. He's especially unsettled in the evenings and into the night. He will cluster feed constantly from 7-8pm to 3am. Rocking and shhhhing and white noise don't seem to help him.
I've been co sleeping with him on one side of the bed (king sized) following safety guidelines but today the H/V put the fear of God into me about SIDS so I'm going to persevere with the next to me crib / Moses basket. It's hard because my 2 year old son is in the room next door and is really disturbed by all the crying. He does have periods earlier in the day of not crying so much.
Does this all sound like normal new born stuff or is this colick? Did anyone else have these type of problems and how were they resolved?
