Hyper 2.5 year old

Not sure where to start with this (first time poster)
My 2.5 year old son is constantly on the go, he is so hyper aswell, to the point its so overwhelming. He doesn't listen to a word I say and just laughs at me instead. He doesn't walk anywhere just runs or jumps. He rarely has any tantrums, he does like a good old whine sometimes though lol. I try and get him out for a good walk or run around a park and that doesn't seem to slow him down one bit.
Once he's in a hype it's near impossible to calm him down.
Is this normal for a 2.5 year old?
Help please!!!

How much sleep does he get? Mine have always gone hyper when tired (makes no sense!!)

Is he getting any stimulation from groups etc? I know it's hard at the moment but all 3 of my kids have been really difficult at this age unless they have good bedtime routines, set meal times and to daily to activities with other kids. I have been taking my toddler to outdoor playgroups. Yes if can be cold and wet but he is in good outdoor rain suits so doesn't feel it and so much calmer when home. Its pretty normal for toddlers to be hyper though.

Toddlers are like Labradors, they need 3 good walks a day.

He sleeps well has done since a baby, sometimes has a nap during the day too. Where I live there are no groups at the moment, I've asked around and I live quite rural and waiting for my driving test in july which will make life easier. He's in a routine with everything and goes and sees his cousin a couple times a week to play when I don't take him out

Agree with fitforforty. My 2 nearly 3 year old an spend 2 hours on trampoline then walk the dog with me then play chase with his sister then go to the park and still have energy left. They're just balls of energy at that age.
