Breastfeeding and antidepressants??

The doctors have said to use with caution but I am a little bit wary. She said if the benefits outweigh the risks them to do it and to be honest I think I will need to start them to be able to function properly and be a better parent. Has anyone taken antidepressants whilst breastfeeding? I’m not depressed just ocd/anxiety

Lots of women take antidepressants whilst breastfeeding. The vast majority are totally safe and go in to milk in minuscule amounts. The breastfeeding network UK has great information as a previous poster said.

Thank you so much ladies! I have read and looks as though it’s fine for me to take the ones I’ve been described. Was just concerned as doctor didn’t really say for certain but from what I can see it’s totally fine.
