My little one is 20 months & just will not fall asleep in his room/cot!
Since he started sleeping in his own room at about 14 months, he's always still needed to fall asleep on our bed & then been carried into his cot (also the same for his afternoon nap).
Once he's in his cot, he generally stays in it most of the night & will also usually quite happily go back to sleep on his own in there if he wakes up- but it's just the initial falling asleep that he won't do in there. (I've tried lying next to him on the floor, holding his hand, sat next to him etc.)
The issue really is that it's just getting more & more difficult to transfer him info his cot without him waking up & then crying to come back to our bed to fall asleep.
Has anyone had a similar issue or have any ideas of how I can try & transition him to going to sleep in his room/cot from the off?! Thanks!😫
