My son is 5 months. He can sit independently for about 10 seconds. My partners mum has said that we can start weaning him. Would you start now or wait until next month? Also what would you give him to start with?

Wait until next month when his gut is fully developed and he can sit independently.

The NHS weaning website is really good.

There is no benefit to anyone starting weaning early. Why does he want to? It is a faff when they are so young as . well as being of no benefit to the baby
