just made the worst mistake ever....

...parents in law were ditracting me and i ended up putting baby in car seat without being strapped in....

arrived at destination to find 3 1/2 month lo all leaning forward in his seat!!! but asleep

oh my gosh i bet he bashed his head backwards and forwards several times

luckily i drive slowly but bumps and braking would have jogged him back and forth

argh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

but one thing - he wa asleep so perhaps all is well????

Do not feel bad - I forgot to strap my ds1 in his car seat once, because I was being distracted and worse than that I left him in the house in his car seat once and got to the end of the road and realised I was missing something!!
Everybody has done something like this at least once - believe me, you won't do it again.

We've done it too. Drove a couple of hours on a French motorway and realised the baby was strapped in but the seat wasn't. Cue big big argument.

Anyway, the point is that luckily he was fine, and so was your DS. Neither of us will do it again.
