CARiFiT mums - what carriers?!

Any CARiFiT mums out there?! I'm going to start doing these classes in a few weeks (had a c section so waiting a while) and I'm not sure what carrier to get. Currently I have a Koala sling/carrier hybrid which I love but I'm not sure it's suitable for this type of activity and also feel like baby may well be too big by the time I'm doing the class. I'm not really up for spending £100+ on Ergobaby which they recommend (unless everyone thinks it's well worth the money?), I will keeping an eye out on Facebook marketplace though. I wondered if there were any cheaper alternatives that people have found worked, ideally ones that are breathable and good for summer?

Contact your local sling library to try a few options [www.slingpages.co.uk] . Lightweight summer carriers include kahu sunshine, tula Coast, integra solar, izmi breeze. Ergo baby have mesh versions but they are quite thick and warm. In my experience many people buy ergos and then don't get on with them, which is an expensive mistake.

You can pick up second hand carriers online on several Facebook groups but be aware that ergos are regularly faked so proof of purchase is always required for those, whereas other carriers are unlikely to be faked.

Don't buy a hip seat or narrow based carrier which will not be supportive enough for a dance class.

I'm assuming this is a sling based exercise class? Personally, unless your baby is small (under 4 months), I would go for a woven wrap. I found soft structured carriers like an Ergo difficult to move in. Dh and I did a lot of babywearing when ours were little. Ergo or similar fine for long walks, but not easy to bend down or sit in. The woven wraps was perfect for that sort of thing. Dress for being warm yourself so that you don't get too warm and overheat.

Thank you both!
@AnnaBegins I'll have a look at those recommendations!
@mindutopia the carriers they recommend are ergo, in the videos I cant see anyone wearing sling wraps but think that's because they have a partnership with ergo. The class is a mix of cardio and resistance and think there's interactive breaks for baby. I have a koala sling which I love and use it for walks but can't do front facing which I think baby will like when she's old enough
