Hats for newborns in summer

Unsure whether I need to buy any for my second to wear at the hospital.
My first was born in November and I knew I needed it. But what about a July baby?

I mean mostly for the days in hospital and the first days coming home.

I'd say it would be worth packing one for hospital because I found it was more down to your baby rather than the temperature outside. First ds was fine and seemed to regulate his temperature okay, second ds kept getting cold, the hospital was about the same temperature both times.

My 1st was born in October and now I'm due my 2nd in July, I'm having the same thought. I've decided to pack one in my hospital bag just in case.

Yeah I might bring one or two with me in that case just to be safe.
With my first they got a knitted hat from the hospital that they put on them as soon as he was born. But I don't know if it has changed now or if it was just due to it being winter.
