Potty training advice

Hi all๐Ÿ™‹โ€โ™€๏ธ
Im after some advice with potty training, i really dont want to do the wrong thing and end up making things worse for my little one.

She is 2 and a half and weve tried potty trai and on and off over the last few months , but she is doesnt like the potty or sitting on the toilet with a toddler seat at all. Over the last couple of weeks a few times ive taken her nappy off and she has held the wee for up to 2 / 3 hours and as soon as i put the nappy on she wee'd straight away. Today she had her nappy off for almost 3 hours and she was in distress holding in her wee , but refused to use the potty, she is very stubborn.

Im just unsure the right way to go about it , do i carry on , or do i leave it and hope she will be more willing in a few months ? I dont want to make things worse for her , she obviously does not like the potty. Im also due a baby in a few months so id love to have potty training out of the way too.

I would leave it a few months. She doesn't seem ready. Don't make it an issue.

Leave it for a bit then show her you weeing on the toilet. When youโ€™ve finished sing the โ€˜wee wee on the potty songโ€™ ( Iโ€™ve lived this craziness) clap and dance/conga.

All three of my dds potty trained around 2.8/9 months. We did this craziness. None of them liked the potty.
