Water for a 9-10 month old

Hi all,

My little boy is 10 months old next week (is 24lbs for reference, not sure whether weight makes a difference to my question)

Is there a 'limit' on how much water he should be having at this age? Or at least a recommended amount to not go over?

He has 3 bottles and 3 meals a day which he does very well with but also has water with meals and a sippy cup of water that he grabs and drinks throughout the day whenever he wants

I know things like water intoxication is rare but I have quite bad anxiety so I worry about things like this a lot. He's probably having around 6oz maybe an ounce or two more some days - is this okay for his age? Smile

Thankyou

A friend told me they shouldn't be having more than 2oz's over water until they're 1 and now I'm panicking a little bit Grin

I think that sounds absolutely fine. If he is thirsty he needs to drink. You shouldn't listen to friends. If you have questions like that maybe ask your health visitor.
