10 week old hand movements

I have a 10 week old baby. She had discovered her little hands a few weeks ago and ever since then she has been trying to bring her hands to her mouth. In the beginning she would touch her cheeks or eyes or nose or punch herself in the face, but she can now put a hand or both in her mouth every time, no problem.

But...the movements of the hand going to the mouth are a bit jerky. I don't know how else to describe it.
Anybody else's baby had this sort of (jerky) movement close to this age when trying to put hand in mouth?
Thanks so much!

It’s normal. Her movements will become more smooth over time as she gets used to them.

It's definitely normal, her brain is only just starting to make those connections and define those movements, you'll notice even over the next couple of weeks they will change dramatically. Smile

It's normal. Her nervous system is still developing. They're all a bit jerky at first - I know mine was, and it freaked me out because I hadn't been expecting it.
