Feel really flat the the moment, only 11 weeks in and im already its killing me! the travel is a nightmare and boring, the childcare is worrying me, student loans have messed me around and my neibours have a situation that weve inadvertly become involved in. Some days i go in and feel really prepared and ready, other days i have problems with the computer system and cant get lectures notes off ready for the lecture and there are not enough pc's in the building to be able to do it there, days like that i just feel like a muppet and that maybe im just not cut out for degree level! anyone else feel like this sometimes?

Those are all the most tedious things to deal with as a student mum - the travel combined with childcare, money worries, and figuring out which pc you're using and making sure you have only one, latest version of your files. Could you pick up a second hand/reconditioned laptop?

Some days I am already to go, snal snal, drop dd at nursery, have bag already packed with updated memory stick - on bike (drastically reduces travel stress - public transport is pants!). Other days it all goes to pot and I run dd to nursery, unshowered and in sweats (me that is), no breakfast, no bag packed, data still on hard drive and pc on the blink as usual. Often that results in working at home that day as by the time I get in it will be time to pick dd up again (because dh who promised who would help in this regard can hardly ever pick dd up.......insert small rant).

So basically, it's uphill from here - you're getting used to the worst bits. Jill
