How often and how long for? Curious to see what everyone does.

Few hours every day. Mixture of TV series and movies.

Way too much but I don't stress about it, occasionally cbeebies but usually films these days (dd is 3 in july) she dips in and out tho, she potters about, plays with her toys and we go to the park and for walks, out in the garden if it's dry. She also goes to nursery 2 days a week. She's learnt alot from TV I think, she knows lots of nursery rhymes by heart, can count to 10 confidently and has done for ages, knows all her colours, days of the week, and she loves singing and dancing along to disney films

14-month twins. They've never watched TV. They don't even know what the TV is, since they've never seen it turned on.

But in the morning, they watch "Super Simple Songs" on the iPad for about 30 mins while I shower and tidy etc.

It's normal in DH's family for it to constantly be on without specifically sitting down to watch something. So he will tend to put it on like that and then the DC will complain if it's not on, even though they're not sitting glued to it but often doing various things. Also he will suggest TV a lot whereas I tend to want to wait until they actually request it or I want to redirect their attention from me/things they can't have.

In my family we didn't have the TV on unless somebody was watching a specific programme, it would be on for that Programme and then off unless we were tired and just decided to keep watching to see what was next.

I think how you grew up definitely influences how you'll use TV for your own kids.

14 month old has never watched TV - we tend to have the radio or music on instead.

Howeverrrrr I am currently a SAHM with no other kids - if I wasn’t then I am sure he would be watching TV!
