Flying Ryan Air with a 8 month old

Hi all I'm tentatively going to book some flights for a holiday with my partner and 8 month old baby! This will be our first flight! Does anyone have any tips/hints for booking with Ryan Air! They can be a complete pain in the a* even when flying solo, so I want to make sure I book everything I need to make it as painless as possible! I've already tried to book seats and apparently the baby and I can only sit at a window seat, which seems really odd! Xxx

What issues have you had previously that you are concerned about? The window seat is likely because you will probably be slower to exit in an emergency so aren't blocking anyone else in.
