What size baby doll for a 2-3 year old?

Toy shops are still closed where I live so can't go in and scope them out.

Want to get a baby doll for DC2 to help with arrival of DC3. A friend is offering a 38cm one on FB marketplace which I'm tempted by, but don't know if it will be too big for a toddler to role play with? Or she has a 15cm one but that seems definitely too small to me.

Finding most of the ones I can see online seem to be 33cm - is that a more standard size?

I don't think the size matters too much - the three year old I look after has dolls of all sizes and they all get played with. The bigger ones will probably be easier and less fiddly to dress and undress.

Ah OK I was imagining it to be a bit unwieldy - it would fit in things like a doll's buggy fine? I suppose I could just ask my friend :o

I agree mine played with all sizes but both mine got My First Baby Annabel for their 2nd birthday. I just looked and they are 36cm. It was a lovely doll well played with.

At that age my DD preferred the little ones; she had the bigger ones but didn’t start playing with them until over the age of 3 really. The little soft ones they have in the supermarket or Argos were easier for her to cart around
