How long do your children spend per day on their computers? My son (11) has 2 hours on a school day and 3/4 on a weekend if were not doing anything. He will literally spend all day every on there if he could. Some of his friends seem to be on there all day and my son acts like im being unfair and strict with the time he's allowed to play. Just curious to see how long others allow their children to be on their computers.

3-4 on the weekend seems a bit restrictive to me, but I say that as a gaming enthusiast that has done memories of spending weekends unwinding with games.

What does he do on weekends when he's not on it?

Ermm. When he was 11....

During week, He could only go on laptop for homework during week.
Console for max 1hr after dinner if homework and housework done. Which he did 1-2 times a week. But he'd sometimes have a quick 20 minute blast on mario kart or whatever with his dad. Because he'd have left things late or wasn't bothered.
Everything was switched off by 9pm no matter what.

Weekends he'd have a couple of hours maybe. But he was never into games like CoD etc, so never felt the pressure there. He liked things like Mario and Zelda.

He only ever did it as part of downtime, spent more time playing Warhammer, DnD, reading, fishing, cycling etc. it was never his main hobby.
