Lynx sets for a 9 year old?

My son will be 9 straight after christmas. I considered buying him some "blokes" shower gel and deodrant as a "grown up" present...he does alot of sport and he starts to smell easily. He showers indepentantly and I wondered if I should get him something like a lynx set for a stocking filler or is that too grown up?

I am glad I saw this post.
My DS is 9 1/2 and I was wondering the same thing. I thought it might be about time he kept some in his sports bag.

my ds is nearly 10 and has just started uing deodrant, because he gets sweaty.

My initial reaction was Noooooo, he's too young but having thought about it, I've taught Yr 4 & 5s who use Lynx or similar- I think, it is quite a nice grown-up present. Good idea

Yuck, if you have to get him some toiletries, please get him something that smells nice!

My stepson started to use Lynx when he was about 12, and whenever he came to stay I had to air the house after he'd gone to get rid of the smell, it was truly worse that the smelly armpits would have been!

meant to add, that at this time of year TKMaxx often sell sets of smellies for ridiculous prices. I got my stepson some Floris deodorant and bodywash (or somesuch combination) and the smell was lovely).
