A day in the life of a SAHM.. what are you all up to today?

So there’s been a few SAHM threads again lately; do we like our lives? What do we do all day?
So I thought we could have a bit of a general chat, similar to the toddler “support” thread that began at the start of the 3rd lockdown.
So today, my eldest 2 are at school and nursery so it’s just me and my DS 20 months.
We’re doing the school run, straight to a country park to meet my 2 closest friends with their DC who are similar age to DS. Nice walk around, it usually takes around 1.5 hours, stop for a play and then we’re going for lunch.
Home around 12.30 DS will be asleep for 1.5-2 hours so I’ll prepare dinner, have a tidy up and I’ll probably squeeze in a line of duty (I’m rewatching from the start) with a latte.
School run is 3.30.

Our fridays are usually very chilled out after a busy week but we really enjoy them. DS loves playing with his 2 friends, we’re all off swimming next Friday instead of the walk.

Hope you all have a lovely day!

Sounds like a lovely day 😁 I'm a WFH SAHM, got today off so woke up with 15 mo DD around 7.30, rolled around in bed and played for a bit until 8.30, then had breakfast together. DD has been busy finding any bits of paper she can find to shred up while I put the washing on and put away laundry. Also finally got around to putting away winter jackets/clothing, it's such a relief tbh because they just take up so much room from being bulky! Going to get started on lunch once DD wakes up from her nap, then off to the children's centre where DD finally gets to have her first development check since the beginning of last year! The HV did say we could do it over the phone but honestly any excuse to get out of the house and I just want DD to see more people to help her with her separation anxiety. Not much planned for after that, although I definitely need to go to Primark and stock up on some leggings and other essentials.

Music class this morning then met a friend in the park and fed the ducks. Popped into the library on the way home to return some books.
Came home and had some lunch then 1YO had a nap. 4YO and I made some flapjacks but they weren't great! Then she listened to an audiobook while I did a bit of admin for my voluntary position.
When baby woke up we did some sensory play with coloured rice and played a made up game where our car kept breaking down 🤷‍♀️ dinner, tidy up and then bedtime Wink

It was preschool this morning for my eldest (4)

Took youngest (2) with me to have my smear done this morning then we went to the park.

Lunch at home with WFH dad.

This afternoon we watched lots of coco melon and played trains. I had a dentist appointment so DH took an hour out to watch the kids for me.

Made tea, DH and I had a take away and have been watching Lost this evening.

Fridays are usually pretty chill
