Did I miss a hidden level on the wonder weeks app?

My LO is almost 18mo and has been completely wired/over tired/won't sit still/doesn't know what she wants for about a week now. She's a great sleeper and usually does 11.5 - 12.5 hours at night falling asleep around 7am/waking about 6:45am and 1-2 hour nap starting from about 11:45am. For the past week she is taking longer and longer to fall asleep.

Usually I don't let her sleep past 1:30pm and it's the perfect timing for her to fall asleep at 7pm but yesterday I decided to let her sleep until 2pm because she isn't falling asleep at night until after 8pm so missing an hour every day and she fell asleep as usual just after 7pm. I thought I'd cracker it so I tried it again today - she woke at 1:45pm and is still not asleep at 8pm. Have I got something wrong? Is this a sleep regression?
Her 2nd canine cut through the week and she still has 2 to go. She also said a new word this week and is trying to jump (so cute). Have I missed a secret level on the wonder weeks app? Any advice?

Solidarity OP. Mine is nearly 18 months and has been awake for the last 3 hours. I'm losing the will to live! Lots of tears in the day about everything and it's all a lot. Trying my best to remember that she's having a hard time and she isn't doing it on purpose but sleep deprivation isn't great for thinking clearly!

@katiekat88 I could deal with the sleep deprivation if it didn't involve waking up to constant moaning and crocodile tears! Has your LO been doing it long? I've heard of an 18mo regression because of language etc. I do feel for them, their little heads must be racing and it's horrible when you can't switch off and go to sleep when you're knackered

We're just coming out the other side of a weird sleep phase with our 21 month old - taking ages to get to sleep, needing reassurance, waking up crying in the night needing back rubs etc.

Just as we were beginning to consider cutting her nap she started going down at 7pm again without any fuss. The phase lasted about 5 weeks and did also coincide with a mild cold, so could have been illness related. She's having an intense language burst at the moment and I think her brain is just going overtime trying to process everything.

My advice would be stick to routine and consistency for a while before you change anything - it may well just sort itself out.

Yeah I'm going with the same @Ihaveoflate - we'll stick to the usual routine and wait for it to pass!

@Mamabear04 I can't tell exactly what it is but there is meant to be a sleep regression at this age because they learn lots of new skills/language, plus I think DD may be getting her canines through. It's hard going at the moment! Currently nap trapped because she woke up after an hour but was clearly upset and needs longer. I'm going to go with what she seems to need and have lots of chocolate and tea to help me through!
