I'd like to get DS a few new books to read to him and looking for a bit of inspiration.

Do you have any favourites for your 6-12 month olds?

My 8 month old really loves those 'never touch a [insert whatever animal is on the cover]' books. He spends ages feeling the pages.

I wouldn't describe them as a good read for me though. 😂

My baby loved all the lift the flap books, the “that’s not my....” books, and the ones where they can pull / push things in the book

If she’s at a particularly bitey stage then there are some books called “indestructibles” which are absolutely brilliant and can be put through the wash etc. These were great after baby DD was chewing lumps off the board books and ripping pages

The 'That's Not My...' series, 'Busy Town' and the other books in that series, 'Fox's Socks' and the other Acorn Wood lift the flap books are all good and were well-liked by DD at that age. She still likes them all now and she's nearly 3 so they last a long time too.

We like the Usborne Peep Inside books. Lots of flaps for the little ones and some of the information is actually interesting!

Another vote for the ‘Never Touch a....’ series of books. DS loves feeling them and the rhymes in them.
Spot the Dog books with lift the flaps are good too.

‘Ten little...’ books are great x

'Chuffa Chuffa choo choo', 'bouncing babies', the spot books, 'that's not my... ' books

There are some great recommendations on this thread, thanks! I've just bought loads of books for my 14-month old twins.
