Aspirin while pregnant

Has anyone been advised to take aspirin while pregnant for a low weight baby? My first was monitored for being small and the second one is being too but this time they have told me take one aspirin a day, not entirely sure why? The midwife appts are always rushed so I didn't have time to ask her

I have to start taking it to reduce risk of pre eclampsia as I had that last time

They’re probably concerned about IUGR which can often be caused by microclots in the placenta. Aspirin helps prevent that.

Aspirin can help blood flow through the placenta/cord which helps growth of baby

Its perfectly safe
I'm on 150mg this time for previous pre eclampsia at 35 weeks.
I'm 34 weeks and no signs of pre eclampsia at the moment
