Hi,

My 6 month is doing yellow poos with darker colour running through it - I can’t tell if it’s dark green or black - should I be concerned?

What is she eating ? Does she look like she has tummy ache ?

Thank you so much for your response
We just started weaning earlier this week, she’s had a couple of spoons of broccoli and carrot but otherwise formula fed. No signs of tummy ache but seems slightly constipated

Do you offer water to drink I’d she’s constipated ?

Yes she takes a few sips after food - should I offer this throughout the day? Sorry it’s my first baby and I’m unsure

I’d just offer it at the end of a meal for now. When she’s in a high chair you can put it in a sippy cup so she can drink herself.

Does it look like it's slightly firmer than the rest? Mines had issues with solid poo all his life and since weaning it's gotten better to the point where it looks as you've described most of the time so I could just be where it's digesting slightly differently now. For what it's worth the gp has never been concerned about the fact it was green or that it was firm but if you're concerned a quick call to either gp or health visitor might help.
