2 to 1 nap transition NIGHTMARE - advice please

My little one is almost 16 months (15 corrected) and has been transitioning from 2 to 1 nap for a couple of weeks (some days he was having 2, some 1) but the last 11 days has only had 1 nap a day. This nap isn't very long though, 1.20 max, some days only 40 minutes, so as you can imagine he's getting VERY overtired. He usually wakes 6:30-7am, and bedtime normally around 7pm, sometimes sooner. His sleep has regressed massively, I only recently stopped nursing him to sleep (somewhat), as he was having boob at bedtime and night wakings which I stopped through pure perseverance and many many tears. I feel now like I'm back to square 1 because he's crying hysterically for boob again, wakes often, fighting his naps (even in pram and car which use to work), bedtime is a chore because he won't lay still (learnt to walk 3 weeks ago) and wants to play and is then screaming crying. I just don't know what to do. I'm still trying to not give boob when he wakes but sometimes I just can't even face the crying because I'm exhausted and we both end up getting even less sleep... When I refuse he sometimes ends up awake for over an hour at silly o clock! We bed share, always refused the cot, I keep trying but to no avail. Any advice? I feel like I'm undoing all the work I did to get him off my boobs at night, but I don't know what else to do. I'm putting this down to the nap transition, him learning to walk, and him getting all four molars together - but is this common and how long will it last?!

I think it just sounds like a developmental leap. Walking defo I found makes the leaps hard. Have you heard of the app wonder weeks? I would reccomend it and see if it ties in with a leap and just ride it out. My 15 month old sleep went out the window in line with a leap. He's now back to sleeping through. I didn't change anything just kept being persistent with how I settle him at night (weaned off boob too at about 9 months old). Sending love so hard when your exhausted! X
