15 month old being a total monkey at bedtime

My daughter (15 months) is taking forever to go to sleep at the moment..on average she takes 1 hour to go to sleep..sometimes 1.5 hours! It’s been like this for around 1 month now, I was hoping it was a funny phase but it’s just going on a bit.

I co-sleep but leave her in a double floor bed and have my evening with my husband. I’ve never sleep trained and wouldn’t as it’s not for me and we’ve not really had a problem up till now, she used to be asleep in 10-15 mins. I’ve dropped her second nap to see if that helps but no difference..she does down for her day nap really easy and sleeps for about 2 hours.

She tends to just keep getting up and changing positions, standing up in bed etc and I keep laying her down until she wears herself out. I’ve tried singing and music to relax her..she won’t let me hold her to sleep now for the last few months just wriggles away after her bottle.

She doesn’t seem tired basically ..all all! But she’s usually had a 5 hour wake window and we’re very active in the day.

Any tips or stories to let me know this ends (soon?!)?

I had this at 14 months with both of mine and moved them to a cot in their own room which really helped. Try sleeping with the Vit sheets fir a couple of nights first so that the cot smells of your bed.

If you don't want to sleep train, then this gentle night weaning method might be for you?

Perhaps she is just not ready for bed and would prefer to be up with you for a while longer. She would be likely to settle down between you on the sofa in the evening and eventually go off to sleep naturally
