My baby boy was born 8lbs 4 and had jaundice and lost more weight than the average baby, he is due to be weighed again tomorrow but I can tell he's definitely gaining weight which is good of course I'm just worried he's eating too much, he's 2 weeks and 5 days and today has been drinking 4oz every 2-3 hours. I know this is a lot but I can't leave him hungry I using the Mam newborn bottles with teat 0.

Babies especially at this age can’t really overeat. My DS at 2 weeks was on a 4oz every 3-4 hours. 5oz at 4 weeks old and on a 6 oz at 9 weeks. At his 8 week check up I mentioned how much he was eating and the GP told me to give him what he wanted. If your worried give your HV a call but try not to worry too much. Also congratulations on your new baby Flowers xx

Both of mine have had more than the recommended amount on the box. DS in particular was a milk monster - he had a bottle every 1.5 hours during the day until about 3 months. Just go with his needs. Congratulations!

My little boy is similar to @Whysotired he was on 5oz by 4/5 weeks old. Just feed them when they are hungry. He was born 9lb 8oz though so quite the chunk x

My little girl is 13 weeks and has between 3 and 5oz every 3 hours which is less than what is recommended. She was 6lb 3oz when born and 11lb 11oz now so gaining well. Health visitor said they’re all different just like adults are and just to let them have what they want. I worried loads that she wasn’t getting enough so don’t worry yourself like I did, sounds like he’s doing fine x
