Car seat - back ache

Hey so my daughter is 2.5 and in a joie 360 car seat but keeps saying her back hurts. It's continuous and I do believe her.

Has anyone had this before? What can I do to relieve it? I'm happy to buy a new seat but it seems random. Everything seems to be in the right places etc.

Should I get her a booster one with back and sides?

She also says she isn't 'sitting up' a lot, and it's quite a bucket seat type car seat.

Defo not a booster, she is too little to go without a harness yet.

Do you have the shoulder straps and headrest adjusted to the right position? It sounds like maybe they could be a bit too low which would be pushing her into a crouched position which could cause backache.

Do you still have any of the inserts in, I would probably take them all out now if you do.

Does she go rear facing or forward facing? The rear facing position is a bit more laid back and would support her legs whereas they dangle in FF and that can be uncomfortable for some children.
