For bottle refusers...

I have an 8 month old dd who has never been great at taking a bottle. Now she's bigger and eating more solids it's obviously not too much of an issue! But, I need to go back into work soon and she still has 5 bf a day. 2 I can do as they are before and after work. Not sure what to do about the others if she won't take them from a bottle? Anyone had this and come up with a solution? TIA!

Sippy cup?

My boy always refused bottles. He happily took cow's milk from supply cup. He's 19m and still BF quite a lot when I'm with him

I had a super fussy bottle refuser, she lived on yogurt which she was happy to be fed whilst at the childminders and caught up on her “missing” bf at night. She also ate lots of fruit purée pouches. She’s a tall and skinny 8 year old who rarely seems to be ill.

She didn’t ask for milk when I wasn’t there — she could sign milk from quite early age.

My first was a bottle refuser and I was worrying about going back to work when he was 7 months. A friend who'd had the same problem suggested a sippy cup. I was still panicking as he wasn't taking lots from it but then with my objective head on, I was still feeding morning and night and figured if he was thirsty and I wasn't around even if he just took a few sips from the cup he'd be ok. He was fine. With other DC I just went straight to cup, didn't even try a bottle.

Ah thanks so much you've all made me feel better. I've ordered a supply cup and I'll give it a go! Smile

I had a bottle refuser too. Had to get him onto a sippy cup for starting with childminder and it was absolutely fine.
