Did anyone do controlled crying with their little one? If so, what age?

We done the ferber method with DD at 6.5mo. Honestly the best decision we could have made for her. She went from not sleeping more than 50 mins ALL. NIGHT. LONG. to sleeping through within a week. I honestly couldn't believe it and she was SO much happier after getting some proper sleep.

We tried the Ferber method too. All it taught her was that if she kept on crying we would go back eventually, so she kept on crying. We tried it for several weeks. The worst night she screamed for over four hours. It was torture for her (and us).

It might work for other children but it didn't for ours.
