Controlled crying

My baby is 6mo, at the moment he has all his naps in the pram and then co sleeps in bed at night. I want him to start napping in his cot. I am going to used the controlled crying method as it worked very well with my previous. Should I try in the pram where he is used to napping then try the cot when he’s learnt to self settle or should I try it in cot first? Just thought maybe better in the pram as he’s used to sleeping in there. My plan is once he’s used to taking daytime naps in cot I can think about putting him in cot at night (but loving co sleeping for now!)
I think with my first I did the pram first then to cot but can’t really remember, it seems like so long ago!
Any advice welcome
