Hi

Hope you are all well.

Has any sleep trained their baby? If so, was it successful ? How old was your baby when you decided to sleep train? Did you also get wean the baby off night feeds ?

I have a gorgeous boy who is 4 and a half months old. He does not sleep at nightly, he constantly is waking up. I'm waiting until he is 5.5 months old to start the sleep training.

Our bedtime routine starts at 8 pm with washing his face hands and feet, change of clothes, nappy changed, and read a book . He is then put into his cot drowsy. He falls asleep. But he is waking up every hour after 1 am.

Thank you x

He sounds like a normal 4.5 month old. It’s probably the 4 month sleep regression. There’s a lot of development going on in his brain and it’s normal for it to affect sleep. It’s tough but things should improve in a few weeks.

8 til 1 is a decent stretch, I’d go to bed at a similar time to him if I were you and babe the most of the long stretch.

I think sleep training isn’t recommended until after 6 months.
