3 month old suddenly really fussy

Crying really loud really randomly for 10 minutes or so then fine and rubbing his face and constantly has his mouth in his hand?

It cant be teething can it? And im reading so many contradicting things about growth spurts.

Having his hand in his mouth constantly is normal - at this age they go through a phase of exploring everything with their mouths.

The rubbing eyes suggests tiredness - are you possibly missing the window for him going down for a nap?
