DS has been showing interest in food for about a month, watching us closely when we eat and trying to grab it. So I've given him tiny licks of certain bland foods and a fingertip of things like mashed potato. Today we decided to start him off on a few spoons of baby food. It's the Heinz banana porridge. He loved it and managed about 3 weaning spoonfuls before vomiting everywhere, milk and mucus coming out of his nose and mouth - half choking. He must've brought up his previous bottle because there was a lot!

Now I'm too scared to try again Sad has this happened to anyone else? Is it normal for babies to do that? My older DC happily ate from day one. I should add he isn't unwell (other than chronic teething), has been absolutely fine today. No colds etc so not sure where all that mucus came from.

I will probably ring the health Visitor for some advice but thought I'd ask here as I always find MN so helpful.
