Rolling over in cot : safe sleep issue

My four month old baby keeps rolling over onto his front in his cot in the night. As he can only roll from back to front and can't seem to roll onto his back again from this position. I have found him face down and struggling upon waking up a couple of times and it's really freaking me out! Any advice would be greatly appreciated, should I maybe try him in a nest?

You can roll him back if he's distressed but once they can roll it's OK for them to sleep on their front. Nests aren't recommended for safe sleep as there's a suffocation risk.

I wouldn’t do a nest.
It’s just a case of flipping him back over for now until he can roll both ways.

Ah ok thank you! His cot is next to our bed and I'm thinking in his own way he is trying to roll closer to get to me. I'm just so scared he will suffocate and I won't notice in time. He's a big robust baby for his age, weighing about 7/7+kgs. He is also bf and I was told bf was an advantage with to regards to sids but properly freak out every time.

If he has good head control, can move his head from side to side with no issues then he’ll be fine, just roll him over when you notice!

Thank you, his head control is pretty good, think I'll sleep easier when he can roll himself both ways!Hmm
