Play pens

Can anyone recommend a playpen for nearly 10mo who is trying to crawl everywhere, for moments when I'm doing laundry etc? We live in a small flat so ideally looking for one which folds away flat.

Do people use playpens these days? But worried it's not nice for her but at the same time I'm struggling to ever get anything done at all.

I loved the playpen! The layout of our house meant it was impossible to baby proof downstairs so it meant I had some where safe to put DS while the oven was on or I needed to answer the door. I put some toys in and got some ones that fixed to the sides so it was interesting for him. We also had a travel cot up permanently in our spare room so I could pop him in there while I sorted washing out.

We used a travel cot when ours needed to be contained.

What play pen was it please @Chickenlickeninthepot ?

It was a big wooden thing off Amazon so probably not much use if you need to fold it away regularly.

If you need to fold it away then a travel cot will probably work better than an actual playpen.

We used this. Took about 5 mins to put up and down. Could put it in the garden too.

We had a playpen, but didn't use it as it was designed - we opened it up and fenced off areas of the room so that he had a lot of space to crawl but couldn't get out of the defined area.

If your flat is small I’d just use a room divider as it will work better in your space than a playpen which can get in the way. Baby Dan do some good ones.

We also live in a small flat and use this one. It’s great. Folds up in ten seconds. Doesn’t fold completely flat but does fold up fairly small.

Our DS (10 months, rolling a lot but not crawling) actually seems to love it. He would like to be in it more than the ten minutes I generally leave him in it, I think
