Hi ladies .
I changed lo to cow and gate comfort after being on aptamil 1 as she was very windy with aptamil and took ages to burp and would be in pain. The comfort isn’t really helping I know I shouldn’t change again but thinking hipp organic might be a good choice? Want to stick to one now tho and not change x any one elses baby on hipp organic ? How is it ?

How long have you used the comfort milk? I found it took a week for there to be a real difference

Do you need to use comfort milk? Different milks work well for different babies. My one who was ff started on SMA (constipation) and then we switched to regular cow and gate, which was fine, but I'd heard hipp would be better as was gentler. She had an awful reaction to it. It gave her very sudden onset reflux. Like screaming in pain and projectile vomiting after most feeds. It took me about 2 weeks to realise it was the new milk. I thought it would be better because everyone raved about it. I switched back to cow and gate (the regular one) as soon as I realised and she was a new baby. Comfortable and happy. So I wouldn't necessarily assume one is better than the other, but what works for one baby may not work for another.

That’s the thing maybe I don’t need the comfort milk for her . It’s hard to know what’s ‘normal’ newborn gass etc when they are uncomfy . Maybe I should go back to normal 1 formula and give some infacol for gas ? Thanks ladies
