My DS is 3 days old.
He WILL NOT stop feeding! 2.5 hours now with breaks for winding. I thought they feed little and often at this point?
Seriously it's been non stop. I'm exhausted. I can't put him down to go to the bathroom because he just cries and roots!
Is there something wrong?

What a wonderful update. I'm so pleased for you.

The only thing to remember now is that you'll get weird days like yesterday from time to time. Baby development isn't linear - feeding and sleep becomes comfortable and predictable. Then it all goes tits up for no discernible reason.

But you know now it will pass. And the other side feels wonderful

Great news. Did you know your milk and hormones combine to help you and baby be more sleepy after night feeds? Breast feeding mums also get more sleep.

Your areola also have receptors which baby uses to ‘communicate’ with your immune system, via saliva during feeding, so that any pathogens you or baby have been exposed to (even if you have been apart that day) will be responded to in the next feed.

Our bodies are amazing things.

I learned so much during feeding, and really missed it when DD stopped at 15 months.
