I’m feeling horrible - can you help?

I’m feeling really awful lately, I don’t think I give my 8yo daughter enough time. Amongst all the chaos of everyday life and looking after a little child as well I honestly feel like I’ve kind of neglected her and just let her do her own thing. Is that so bad? Should I be doing more one on one activities with her?

Any ideas of things I can do to make her feel like we can still have fun...

Guilty mum x

Oh darling we are all guilty mums. Please don't feel like that. Juggling work, housework, trying to be a wife etc. it's really tough. I bet she knows that you love her, and that's the main thing. Sending Thanks

@iamaclumsytwat I hope she does... I worry she doesn’t though, earlier before bed she asked if I could play ball with her and I kind of mumbled because I was too tired and then didn’t play x

I've never got the energy either so please don't feel guilty. I've got 5 DCs, and my youngest is 10. Definitely have no energy for her, bless her. But, do you know what? She's happy and healthy and knows that she's loved, and that's the main thing! It's always a worry don't get me wrong, but I think that part of being a parent. Please don't feel guilty. As long as she feels loved and supported growing up, she really won't remember that you don't play with her occasionally 😘
