Feel like a bad mum

I'm a single mum to my dd 8.5 and I feel bad that we haven't done much during the Easter holidays. My dd is more than happy to be at home drawing but I can't help feeling we should be out and about all the time (as much as we can be with Covid!) Money is very tight so can't afford lavish things anyway. Am i a bad mum ?!

No, you are not a bad mum Flowers

Cosy down at home, that time together is valuable just as much.

Your daughter is happy, you are doing a great job Smile it's great for children to have some downtime

You are not a bad Mum lovely. I’m at work and DH is WFH. My two have played an insane amount of Zelda. She will remember it fondly for the time she got to spend with you.

Sounds like she’s happy so don’t worry! If you’d both like to get out more there are probably free places nearby you can try. We were out most days (I have a toddler who needs exercising like a puppy as well as two school aged kids) and didn’t spend any money... just playgrounds, woodland walks, going out for a scooter ride etc. But if neither of you want to do things like that, that’s fine too.

No you're not a bad mum. I have plenty of cash but haven't taken my kids anywhere these holidays either. I don't want to be around crowds due to Covid so we're watching tv, playing board games, computer games, drawing. I might bake. No harm still having downtime. There is still a pandemic out there!!

Wow I just posted a similar thread... I feel the same @lollipoprainbow. I’m looking for things to do with my DD8 to revive our bond x
