My DS 27 months shows no interest whatsoever in using a potty or sitting on the toilet. Ok, I know he is still quite young but just wondered should he at least be telling me he has poo pooed?

Another thing that bothers me a bit is his speech - he is only saying about 10 or so words and most of the time he talks complete mumbo jumbo which no one can understand (might as well be speaking Japanese or something ).

I know you shouldn't compare to other children but my DD was so much quicker than my DS especially with her speech.

Should I be concerned or just go with the flow and let him do things in his own time?

Can't help with the speech issue as DS was an early talker but he wasn't interested in toilet training until he was 3.3 and then it took 3 days. It's hard to wait but your DS will be ready one day.

I've found boys tend to be later to speak than girls.

Lots of children don't declare their poos or even really notice them at this age.

Leave the potty training for a bit if he doesn't seem interested.
