Does anyone else have a proper chubby baby?

My 2 month old DS is a proper chunk!

I was a bit concerned at first that I was over feeding him, spoke to GP at his checkup the other week and was reassured that whilst he is a little chub, there is nothing you can do as babies are hungry when they are hungry and he is fine.

Anyone else have this and did it even our when they started to get more mobile?

He was 14lb 1oz just before his checkup and 8 weeks (I did it at home, GP said they don't really bother much anymore unless they look like they are losing rather than gaining).

All the chubby babies I knew have turned into perfectly normal weight teenagers. Don't worry, they grow out of it. Mine were very skinny and looked like Gollum at bathtime. I was so envious of people with cuddly, chubby babies! Mine were so skinny I had to use sellotape to keep their nappies on! Also, if they got ill and lost weight it was really concerning. It's better for them to have a bit of weight. Enjoy your beautiful baby.

DS was very chubby just before a growth spurt then looked less chubby and repeat until he reached his teenage years and onwards when he was as thin as a rake but yes everyone used to pinch the chub Grin

My ds1 was nearly as wide as he was long as a baby, he was a real little tub 😂. He's now 10 and has a very lean, athletic build. He's tall but also very slim.

Around age 2/3 he started to thin out and by the time he started school he'd completely lost the toddler chub.
