Best summer shoes for toddlers?

Hi any recommendations on sandals, crocs etc for a 2 year old for the summer? Some of the ones I've seen look like they would rub... I'm not a Croc person but they do look comfortable for him.

He has really big feet, he is a 9.5 so ideally something light so he can move easily.

I just buy sandals from Sainsbury's. He wore out his pair last summer. I just bought a new pair with lights in the soles for £12.

Official but I am talking a long time ago ( 16 yrs plus sorry) just got wistful reading your post. Crocs would stay on when needed but easy to put in and off and great for the beach etc

Doodles from Clarks

Clarks doodles or similar types are what I normally get for my toddler. Light, comfy and machine washable. We do have croc type shoes for the beach but I don't like them for climbing/park etc. I work in a nursery and I've seen countless toddlers struggle getting up slides etc with crocs.

Another vote for Clarks Doodles. I loved them for my DDs and rued the day their feet were too big for them!

EvilOnion · 11/04/2021 09:18

Clarks Doodles here too for both of mine - although they're way beyond that now so I'm not sure they're still a thing!

Lasted whole summers, can be chucked in washing machine and they're cute too.

Crocs were a no go for us as I work with kids and have seen too many accidents when running or climbing and they slip/fly off! They're great for the beach though.

Thanks everyone, I'm not sure they do his size as we will need a 10 and that becomes junior child shoes but looks like they have a bit similar I'll check them out thanks
