Baby clapping

Hello,

My LO sort of claps down; has anyone else has their LO do this at all? Like will sort of put arms in the air and bring hands down and clap down does this make sense?!

He also sometimes looks like he is counting his fingers?

How old is he? Sounds like fairly normal baby behaviour as he learns how to use his limbs etc.

He is nearly 9.5 months. He sort of brings his hands up and then claps palm on back of hand downwards instead of palm to palm?

Quite normal for a baby. Mine used to bang arms and hands up and down if he heard music. It was sweet.

My 11 month old DD claps like that.

It's cute isn't it, Vicky?
Happy memories.

My 9 month old has just started doing this too.

She looked like she was trying to clap so I started singing clap a clap a handies to her and clapping along. Now she copies me and claps along too. She loves using her new skills

Aw bless, RedWine. I love to see babies do that.
