BMWs and buggy boot space

My hubby is looking at BMW X1 or BMW 330 and wondering how the boot space is for buggies and baby stuff? Anyone got any experience of either? He's doing my head in trying to narrow down which company car to get 🙄🤣

I think you’ll have plenty of space in both; I have a bmw series 1 so smaller than both of those and I can fit a buggy in it easily and if I park it well I can fit a buggy, travel cot and other bags in.

Fab thanks @user1493413286 I will let him know!

We have an X1 and the pram does fit in but it's tight. If I was buying now I would prefer a bigger boot!

I had a 1 series when DS was a baby and it was fine for a chunky travel system but no room for much else.

Lpc123 · 07/04/2021 16:37

I have a 3 series and uppababy vista and it fits but as others have said not much room for other things

Pugsley87 · 07/04/2021 16:39

The 1 series was fine for a silvercross wayfarer and I could get shopping bags strategically placed around it in the boot too :)

custardbear · 07/04/2021 16:41

I fitted my Quinney pram into my BMW 1 series sport easily enough

Albeit this was 10'yrars ago now so design of both is probably different

Another 1 series’ owner here 🙌🏽 It looks tiny from outside but the boot is massive, can fit pretty much anything in it. Even tried both carry cot and stroller part of the egg pram because were expecting no2 and that fits fine too.

The X1 has 100+ extra L than the 1 series too so you could throw DH in there if you want 😂

@Hungryhippo20 I think you have to go to the showroom and try it out. We had an Audi Q3 which has a boot space of 530 litres (same as my dads BMW 5 series), our pushchair was a tight fit in the Q3 even though the boot seemed huge, we had to remove the parceshelf for it to fit. Sadly, the car was written off after an accident last month and we've had to move the pushchair to our other car which is a VW Golf - the boot size is only 330litres but much to my shock, the pushchair fits easily in there, we don't even have to remove the parcel shelf - what this has taught me is that the shape of the boot is more important than the size so try them out if you can at a showroom before deciding.

My husband now wants an Audi Q7 which has an enormous boot but I'm not convinced, I think we should get another Golf and stick the rest of the money in the bank!

We have an x1 and a bugaboo fox fits in with room to spare. The Pram breaks down in 2 parts but can lay flat with the wheel part on top.
Great car and highly reccomend.

Have had 3 series saloon and estate, had no issues fitting in a large pram and shopping bags.

Thanks, I'm not sure showrooms are open as yet but if we can get a look before he has to decide we will do that. I have a Q3 too and we are really struggling to fit the pram in, so we will be changing that as soon as we can! DH current car is Audi A4 and it all fits fine
