I’ve been on maternity & then leave for almost a year and a half.

It was horrible and lonely and I felt like I’d abandoned my child.

Will it get easier?

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

It will get easier. You'll find that it's nice to be something other than 'Mum' and to find a sense of yourself again. It just takes a while to get back into after such a long time off. Good luck op.

I was in your position a couple of months ago. I felt exactly the same for a while, but not so much any more. It does get better, I still have my wobbly days though!

It takes a little time but it does get easier. The first few days are tough Flowers

I took 18 months off too; I've been back since mid-Jan. It definitely gets easier. It gets more complicated to juggle but I love seeing how much DS enjoys nursery and I enjoy the time that I do have with him so much more.

Thanks all. Hoping it does indeed get easier. Sad
