My 20 month old son and I both love oatcakes but they are not common in Australia (where I’m from) and I’m not very confident in the kitchen so can anyone help me please? What’s your favourite toppings?
TIA

Oatcakes like Scottish style hard biscuits?
If so, I like butter and nice cheese eg Shropshire blue.

Oh god I absolutely love oatcakes. Cheese and pickle is good. Mushroom pate. Tapenade. Cottage or cream cheese. I actually like to just eat them dry Confused

Hummous or cream cheese and cucumber

My DD loves them with cheese, or hummus.i prefer cheese and chutney.

Cheese and chutney here although my children will also eat them dry

Hadn't considered any other toppings - need to be a bit more adventurous!

Yes I’m not that adventurous with mixing food and prefer foods on the bland side and I’m also lactose intolerant but hummus sounds good. I’ve looked online and people say peanut butter, banana and honey is good and tuna and cucumber

Oatcakes and crunchy peanut butter are fabulous. If you have a sweet tooth you could ass jam like a PBJ.
Without the jam they are low gi so great to sustain you over a few hours.

Amazing with lots of thinly sliced bananas.
