Mixing bottle brands - newborn

Hi all.

Can anyone tell me if they have mixed the use of bottles brands. I have a selection of MAM bottles and also tommee tippee closer to nature. Trying to decide if I need to stock up on more of either one, and which one to go with.

Thank you

Tommee tippee are generally not liked by babies.

Id try one and if your baby likes it, stick with it. My son took well to Avent Classic.

Dont stock up on different brands just in case, it'd a huge waste of money. Theres always a 24hr tesco within driving distance (generally)!

Definitely don't waste money buying bottles that you might not need. I've got 4 children and all 4 took to MAM bottles. And you don't need a steriliser which is a bonus!

I mixed and matched sort of by accident - bought Tesco cheapies on advice of NICU nurses (she was prem) then was gifted a Tommee Tippee set. When she was very little the Tommee Tippee teats were too hard for her so we only used the cheapies, then we mixed and matched for a while, now we only use the Tommee Tippee. They have a valve so much easier than the cheapies, and DD gets on fine with them.

I think most babies will be fine with most teats once they get used to them, and that using multiple brands is fine too.

Going against usual MN experience

My ds was prem but took milk from anywhere for various reasons

Tube fed, breast fed with and without nipple shields, several different bottle teats. It didn't seem to matter to him at all.

My DD was a fussy so and so and I spent a fortune on different bottles. She liked Nuk the best and absolutely hated Tommee Tippee!

We are using Tommee Tippee, Avent and MAM interchangeably. The baby doesn't care.
